Justice and writing are my passions. My work experience spans litigation, mediation, and arbitration in various areas of law and management critical to people’s lives, including health care, family, criminal, human rights and labor law. I am committed to assisting people and resolving issues with minimum stress and expense. As a former Assistant District Attorney and litigator, I shifted from adversarial litigation to alternative dispute resolution approaches in 2001, to allow people to maintain dignity while fostering respect and decency. I retain this philosophy. Prior to my legal career, I was a senior manager for the Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C. and overseas.

My writing includes a column, articles, short stories, resumes, letters, legal pleadings, briefs and memoranda, poetry, letters, notes, lists, etc. I remember carbon paper and now use a net-book, though nothing surpasses the scent of a new pad of paper and a soft, freshly sharpened #2 pencil.
